puku is an AI-powered personal styling app for iOS. You upload photos of your clothes, and puku generates complete outfit combinations from your actual wardrobe using Claude AI. No shopping suggestions, no mood boards — just your clothes, styled perfectly.
Open the Wardrobe tab and tap the + button. You can take a photo directly or select from your camera roll. puku will automatically categorize the item — reading its color, type, and occasion suitability. The more items you add, the better your outfit suggestions get.
You can get useful results with as few as 15–20 items. For the best variety and combinations, we recommend adding at least 30–40 items across tops, bottoms, outerwear, and shoes.
Yes. puku is free to download on the App Store. The core features — wardrobe management, AI categorization, and outfit generation — are available during our early access period.
When you enter a prompt (like "smart casual for dinner tonight"), puku sends your prompt and your wardrobe item details to Claude AI. Claude analyzes your items and assembles complete outfits appropriate for the occasion. It takes about 5–10 seconds.
Natural language works great. "First day at new job", "Sunday morning coffee run", "beach wedding guest", "date night but not trying too hard" — all work well. The more context you give, the more tailored the result. You can also be minimal: "work" or "weekend" works fine too.
Yes. You can specify dress codes like "business casual", "black tie", "smart casual", "business formal", or any description you'd use naturally. puku will interpret the requirement and assemble appropriate looks from your wardrobe.
Tap "Next" to see alternative combinations. You can also dismiss outfits with "Don't like this" to help puku learn your preferences. Editing your prompt and regenerating will give you fresh suggestions.
Yes. Your photos are encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3). They're stored in a private Supabase Storage bucket that only you can access. We never view your photos manually, and they're never shared with third parties except when sent to Claude AI for outfit generation (with your implicit consent when you use that feature).
Never. We do not sell, rent, or trade any personal data to any third party. We make money from the app itself, not from your data. Your wardrobe is not a product.
No. When your photos are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for outfit generation or categorization, Anthropic does not use API data to train their models by default. We will never use your data to train any AI models without explicit consent.
Yes, completely. Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently deletes all photos, wardrobe items, outfits, and account data from our servers within 30 days. It's irreversible and immediate.
Your wardrobe items and saved outfits are cached locally, so you can browse them offline. However, generating new outfits and categorizing new items requires an internet connection since they use Claude AI in the cloud.
Face ID authentication happens entirely on your device via Apple's Secure Enclave. We never receive any biometric data. Enabling Face ID in puku just means the app unlocks using the same Face ID your iPhone uses — nothing leaves your device.
puku requires iOS 15.0 or later. It's optimized for iPhone. iPad support is in development.
